Police Clearance Online or Walk-in applications are one of the process and standard requirements when applying for a new job. The employer also uses them to verify that the applicant has no criminal records. It is also needed when applying for a Philippine passport, business permit, etc.
Getting a police clearance is easy and not complicated. A few requirements are needed before you apply for a police clearance. It is also a supporting document since it is a secondary identification document.
Are Police Clearance and NBI Clearance the same?
No, the Police Clearance and NBI Clearance has not had the same scope. The Police Clearance identifies a file case or criminal records in a specific area such as a town, municipality, or locality within its jurisdiction. On the other hand, The NBI Clearance has more extensive coverage because it now has a national database to identify a person’s final case throughout the Philippines.
Police Clearance has the same thing as NBI Clearance. It is a way to verify any pending or filed criminal case in the Philippines. Yet, the NBI Clearance tells if you have been criminal cases filed in the Philippines court. Its scope is not limited to only a particular locality; it covers the entire Philippines.
How long does it take to get police clearance?
It takes 15-30 minutes or up to 1 hour, But most of the time, at some police stations, it takes half a day before they release the certificate.

This guide explains the two types of processes to apply for and get your Police Clearance. It is one of the requirements for applying for a job. Because of this, I suggest that if you need to get your Police Clearance, you can visit the Police Stations where the Police Clearance Certificate is available to speed up the process of getting it.
Obtaining Police Clearance Certification for walk-in applicants is faster if you need to rush and complete your job requirements. Many applicants choose the walk-in process rather than the police clearance online application.
